Scroll down to purchase our locally grown seasonal flower subscriptions!
We are a micro flower farm in Edina, MN providing sustainably grown flowers to the local community through a limited supply of CSA bouquet subscriptions.
We grow seasonal flowers for our CSA subscribers only. Flower colors and varieties are different every year. We don’t guarantee specific flowers. We are not taking special orders, private events, or weddings at this time. Check back here in the future for updates.
Sign up for our seasonal bouquet subscriptions and receive a freshly cut flower bouquet that is grown locally (not flown). It doesn't get any more fresh!
Fresh Seasonal Flowers
You purchase a set number of shares in advance of the season which helps us pay for seeds and plan how many flowers we need to grow. The variety of flowers change with what's currently in season. The bouquets usually consist of a few focal flowers, filler flowers, and foliage. Pick up times and locations are worked out privately ahead of the season directly with members and depend on the number of members signed up for that month but the windows are flexible and the locations are in Edina, MN.
Partners:
We have partnered with local vendors and flower farmers to source flowers in the event that we cannot fill orders due to weather related events or pest pressure.
Business Area:
We currently only have pick up locations in Edina, MN. Anyone can sign up and drive in for pick up. Bring a travel mug of water to keep your flowers hydrated for the trip home.
Flower Care Once you Receive Flowers:
Once you get your flowers home, snip the ends of the stems and add to your favorite clean vase. Change the water daily. Discard spent flowers to get the longest vase life out of the remaining flowers. Make sure the leaves are above water level. We can't guarantee the vase life of the flowers but following these tips will help extend their life. Also, it’s important to remember that some flowers are poisonous so please keep out of reach of pets and small children.
Buying local supports the local economy and can become a form of activism by standing against harsh chemicals and pesticides. It can also help diminish carbon emissions by preventing the transport of flowers from across the world to your area. Did you know 90% of flowers in America are imported and before they get here are sprayed with chemicals? I use organic alternatives including discarding sick looking annuals to prevent the spread of disease. I never work with chemically treated flowers.
Thank you for visiting our website and supporting local! I think you will enjoy the beautiful sustainably grown flowers you receive.
In Minnesota we have a short growing season and much of the information you find online for growing won’t work for our harsh winters. Here I’ll share some of the information that was hard to find on growing some of my favorite flowers in Minnesota.
